This Payment Policy governs the terms and conditions related to payments, charges, refunds, and subscriptions within our app (hereinafter, DatePlay). By using the App, you agree to comply with this policy, as well as our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Payments made within the app are processed through secure third-party payment providers such as credit cards, Stripe, PayPal, Google Play Billing, the Apple App Store, and others listed on the platform.
By providing a payment method, you warrant that you are authorized to use that method and that all information is valid and up to date. To book appointments online, you must add a secure and reliable payment method, which will be stored by theMercury Bank platform. Under no circumstances will DatePlay have access to these payment methods, as they will be processed through Mercury Bank using a unique identifier assigned to the user in question. Mercury Bankwill handle all payments and transactions. DatePlay is the platform through which a user makes a payment to another user for an accepted online date request.
Payments for each interaction, unlocked private albums, or custom requests will be deposited and made available for withdrawal in a wallet that users can access to transfer funds to their linked bank account at any time. For withdrawals of earnings from online dates and paid custom requests, the amount must exceed $50 to prevent mass withdrawals and high fees, thereby improving the user experience. In the case of private albums, the amount must exceed $50 in the U.S. to be eligible for withdrawal. For private albums, a user must unlock the album they wish to purchase. For custom requests, once sent by the user, the recipient must unlock them and make the payment to download them to their device.
Payments to users who receive funds through their registered account will be processed via the Mercury Bank platform, which will manage the payment schedules. Once users have set up their affiliate account, they will be able to receive payments. Users may withdraw funds from their wallet via bank transfers to the accounts they have previously registered. The time it takes to send money will depend entirely on the user’s country and bank. It is expected that the time from when the user makes a withdrawal until the funds reach their bank account is 2–5 days.
Users who withdraw funds from DatePlay to their bank accounts may be subject to various fees, depending on the country from which they are operating, which are beyond the control of the DatePlay payments team. Users should understand that the amount displayed in their wallet is the gross amount, as opposed to the net amount they will subsequently receive in their bank account and have available for personal use. These fees will be charged by the banks with which each user operates. In addition to these bank fees, global currency fluctuations implemented by central or federal banks, as applicable, will be taken into account and applied. In any case, all funds displayed on DatePlay will be in U.S. dollars (USD). Subsequently, bank transfers will apply these fluctuations based on the exchange rate the user is using in their respective country. DatePlay is not liable for any claims made by users regarding bank fees or other charges applied when the user transfers money to their bank account from the DatePlay wallet. For users residing in Europe who receive funds via their own withdrawals in Euros, the bank fees incurred due to currency conversion will be shared between the platform and the user. For example, if a user withdraws 600 euros to their account in Europe, DatePlay will apply a 20-euro fee to cover the bank fees charged in Europe for the currency conversion from USD to EUR.
The fees for app upgrades will be as follows: 1. For each date, the user who makes the request will pay $69. Of that amount, the user who receives the date will receive $40, which will go directly into their wallet and be available for withdrawal whenever they wish, provided their date wallet balance exceeds $50. Subsequently, when making withdrawals, bank fees may apply as specified in the previous section. 2. For each private album that a user has uploaded and had unlocked, the user who unlocks it will pay $19 for each unlocked album. Of that $19, the user who owns the album will receive $15 in their platform’s virtual wallet, which will be available for withdrawal whenever the balance in that wallet exceeds $40. This is done to improve the user experience regarding withdrawals. 3. Users who make custom requests that are accepted must pay the amount they proposed for their request once it is accepted. The amount of the requests will go to the wallet of the user receiving them, and they may subsequently make withdrawals provided that the balance in that wallet exceeds $50. In the case of this withdrawal, the platform will charge 30% of each custom request to fund platform improvements. If users have any questions or concerns, they may contact the DatePlay team to resolve any issues.
Users who are designated to receive dates, exhibit poor behavior, or have been reported for misuse or violation of DatePlay’s rules may face penalties on their withdrawal payouts if the app’s reporting and misuse team so decides. If these users are “fake users” or the violation is deemed serious by the DatePlay team, the penalty will be the unavailability and total suspension of the funds, which will be made available as refunds to affected users who have made payments, provided that the user who is supposed to receive them is deemed a “fake user” by the DatePlay team. A “fake user” is defined as a user who violates the rules, is not a real user, and whose intent is not social or interactive with other users. Whenever a user has non-community-oriented intentions that do not promote interaction among users, their profile will be reviewed to determine if they can be considered a “fake user.” If a user has a positive balance in their wallet but is unable to withdraw those funds to their bank account, and this user has deleted their account or intends to delete it, they will lose that balance that cannot be withdrawn. Whenever a user wishes to delete their account, they must ensure they have no positive balance pending withdrawal to their bank account.
There will be three main features that require payment through the app: 1. Appointment requests that are accepted. Under no circumstances will a charge be made for a rejected request. Each and every date will cost $69, of which the user receiving the date request will receive $40, minus the fees charged by the platform and payment gateway. The remaining $69 will be charged toward app improvements. 2. Access to private albums. Unlocking access to private albums can be done without adding a payment method; in this case, payment can be made by entering card details when the user wishes to unlock a private album. These card details will not be stored at any time. Private albums will generally cost $9, of which $6 goes to the album owner and the remainder is charged for app improvements. 3. Accepted custom requests. Users with a guest account who are also premium members may make custom requests, which may include requesting a custom audio recording, sending an image to the user, or requesting a custom video, with a maximum duration of 2 minutes. Of these three custom requests, only the custom audio and custom video requests will be charged. The price of these requests will be set by the requester and will in no case be less than $29 each. Upon receiving the proposed price, the user receiving the request may accept it or put it on hold. Once the proposal is accepted and sent, the requesting user will proceed with payment to obtain the request, which they can download as a file to their physical device to avoid explicit content within the app. Of that payment, the app will take 30% for app improvements, and the remainder will go to the user who sent the personalized request to the requesting user.
We offer a premium account that grants access to exclusive features within the app. The premium subscription is a paid service and costs:
$19 USD per month for users with an account to receive appointments. (or the equivalent in local currency).
$9 USD per month for users with guest accounts, solely for scheduling appointments. (or the equivalent in local currency).
The subscription automatically renews every month unless the user cancels it before the renewal period.
The payment will be processed using the registered payment method.
Users can cancel their subscription at any time from their profile or via the Google Play Store or App Store.
If you cancel, you will continue to have access to premium benefits until the end of the period you have already paid for. No partial refunds are issued.
No refunds will be issued for payments already made, except in exceptional cases of technical failure attributable to the app or a billing error. To request a refund, the user must contact support within 7 days of the charge.
Any attempt at manipulation, fraudulent use of cards, or actions that violate this policy may result in the suspension or permanent cancellation of the user’s account without prior notice.
The App reserves the right to decline suspicious payments or block transactions in progress if a risk of fraud is detected.
The App is not responsible for any transactions, agreements, or payments made outside the platform, even if the initial contact was made within the App. The App assumes no liability for scams, fraud, or financial losses resulting from personal agreements between users, whether made within or outside the App.
All in-app payments are processed via secure connections (HTTPS/SSL).
We do not store credit card information directly. This information is handled by certified providers such asStripeor official app stores.
The App reserves the right to modify this payment policy at any time. Any changes will take effect upon publication on the website or in the App. It is the user’s responsibility to review this policy periodically.
By making a payment or maintaining an active subscription, the user acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted the terms of this Payment Policy.
